Both of these degree programmes are abbreviated as BMLT, and they are almost identical. Candidates with a math background who have finished Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are also eligible to apply.

In India, a candidate must pass Class 12 from a recognised board or institute to enrol in a DMLT/BMLT programme. The DMLT course lasts two years, whereas the BMLT programme lasts three years and six months. For a three-year undergraduate study in BMLT, colleges in India charge an average tuition price of Rs 10,000 to Rs 4 lakh. The grades acquired in Class 12 are used to determine admission to all DMLT programmes and a majority of BMLT courses in India.
