Written by Medhaavi Mishra

Encanto is Disney’s most recent hit. In November 2021, the film was first  released in theaters. Encanto’s core theme is family. The movie depicts the story of the close-knit Madrigal family, who reside in a magical part of Colombia. Each member of the family has a special gift that they use to benefit their village. The 60th movie from the Disney Animation studio’s catalog is loaded with magic and whimsy. Every one of the family members is born with a special gift, which they all discover when they turn five. So, let’s look at the Encanto Madrigal family tree now.

Abuela Alma & Abuelo Pedro Madrigal

Abuela Alma & Abuelo Pedro Madrigal

The beginnings of this magical family are Pedro and Alma Madrigal. The family’s head in Encanto is Alma Madrigal. When Abuela Alma was younger, she fell in love with Pedro. They were married and had triplets named Julieta, Pepa, and Bruno. Unfortunately, Pedro’s life ended soon after the triplets were born when he gave his life to defend his family as they fled from invaders. The family was blessed with a magic candle as a result of this sacrifice, bestowing magical talents to the triplets and their future children. In Encanto, Alma has a stern yet optimistic personality, which brings her into difficulty with her granddaughter Mirabel.

Julieta & Agustín

Julieta is the eldest daughter of Abuela Alma. Julieta Madrigal is renowned for her ability to heal people with her cooking and for her caring nature. With Agustin, she got married. Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel, the couple’s three children, all have significant parts in Encanto. Together, they are just the most loving parents someone could ask for. Agustin cherishes his life with Julieta, a life in which he suffers numerous painful injuries that his wife lovingly heals with her food.

Pepa & Félix Madrigal

Pepa & Félix Madrigal

Daughter of Pedro and Alma Madrigal, Pepa Madrigal. Félix is her husband, and they have three children: Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio. When Pepa was young, she was gifted with the ability to manipulate the weather. She is frequently surrounded by clouds, rain, hail, and other disruptive weather conditions. The weather is determined by her emotions, which might be problematic, particularly when she’s in a terrible mood and will be surrounded by clouds that are rainy. Her abilities do come handy though, especially when she’s in a good mood. Félix, her husband, is absolutely at opposites to her; he is pleasant and optimistic, which effectively balances her out.

Bruno Madrigal

Bruno Madrigal

The youngest of the triplets, Bruno Madrigal, has a character for being highly misunderstood. He was given the power to see into the future when he was a young boy, and he ran away to keep his family safe from the visions he was having. Bruno is the only triplets from the Madrigal family without a spouse and children. Bruno lived inside the Casita’s walls until Mirabel discovered him and brought him back to the family. Bruno is a loving uncle to Antonio, Luisa, Luisa, Mirabel, Dolores, and Camilo. After all was said and done, Bruno had a better relationship with his family.

Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel Madrigal

Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel Madrigal

The three sisters with distinct personalities who are the children of Julieta and Agustin are Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel. The only Isabela in the Madrigal family is considered to be the golden child. She has the power to control plant life. It may seem straightforward, but Isabela uses her power in highly dramatic, visually appealing ways. She has the ability to instantly create botanical life of various sizes and shapes. Although appearing to be the golden child, Isabela is actually living a false, pretentious life at the movie’s end. Isabela silently struggled with being perfect while being the epitome of best beauty and perfection. She believes that everything she creates must be perfect and that she should be perfect. She struggles under the pressure of perfection as she suppresses her desires in favor of what she must do. Once Mirabel demonstrates to her that she need not be perfect and that she is capable of creating anything she desires.

The second oldest child of Julieta and Agustin Madrigal is Luisa. Luisa possesses superhuman strength, which she frequently uses to assist around the Casa and the village. Luisa, however, hides her weaknesses by insisting that she must always use her strength for others. While she is actually exhausted, she is afraid of failing if she doesn’t do it.

Mirabel is the youngest child of the Julieta and Agustin family. She is the first Madrigal family member to be born without having received a magical gift, for reasons that are unclear. Despite this, she manages to come up with own ways to help the family’s healing and grow closer than ever. She is insightful, resourceful, and unendingly optimistic. She is kind and capable of helping those who are dear to her. She is also dedicated to the health and success of her family, which is in keeping with Abuela’s desires. She was also responsible for letting her family into their new house by opening the freshly built door.

Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio

The eldest daughter of Pepa and Felix is Dolores. Dolores has superhuman hearing and can hear even the smallest whisper from across the village. Dolores is the one who is most knowledgeable of everyone else’s business. Her and Isabela are both about the same age.

The middle child of Pepa and Félix is Camilo. He possesses the power to shapeshift and is still a teenager. He can take on the appearance of other members of the family and community at will. Camilo is obviously devoted to his family as well as enjoying a good prank.

Pepa and Félix’s youngest child, Antonio is also the youngest member of the entire family. With his newly bestowed gift, Antonio can speak to animals. Antonio and his cousin Mirabel have a strong bond because they shared a room together prior to Antonio receiving his gift and having his own room. He looks to Mirabel for friendship and strength and doesn’t begrudge her for lacking powers.
